Summer is here and I am sooooooooooooooooooo excited!!! Yesterday we went to Seven peaks. I was teaching CPR and I got a call from my kids. They asked if they could go to Seven peaks... How could I deny them of that???? When I got home, Mike didn't want to go. He had been to the dentist earlier that day. (I gave him a teeth whitening gift for Fathers day.) I guess his teeth hurt really bad. Taje needed to go down for a nap and Remi was at her girl friends house, so I left them behind. I took Sabe and Jacey and we were having fun and then I got a call from Mike. He decided that it is no fun at home and he wanted to come to Seven Peaks too. He is not smiling in the picture because it hurt his mouth so bad. Today, we wanted to go to Lagoon. We wavered back and forth if today was the right day. (The weather didn't seem too promising) We decided to go. We drove to Lagoon, got out of the car and quickly decided with all the goose bumps that today was NOT the day. We then drove back home. We are going to try to attempt it again next week. I love the summer because I get to play with my kids. We have a ton of fun! I was eating lunch with some of my friends the other day and we talked about motherhood. "What was one thing we could do better as a mom?". It was amazing that almost all seven of us said to play more with our kids. Being a mother is not all about keeping a schedule and maintaining a clean home (I have a hard time with that one). It is about teaching them by example and making life fun. We all know that life is too short... So why not have fun while living!!!!

I AGREE WITH YOU ABOUT PLAYING WITH YOUR KIDS. JAMES AND I DO A LOT OF THAT AND THAT IS WHY OUR HOUSE IS A MESS. THE BEST PART OF MY DAY IS WHEN I GET TO GO HOME FOR LUNCH AND PLAY WITH OAKLEY. I LOVE IT. HE IS SO MUCH FUN AND I REALLY HATE HAVING TO WORK BECAUSE I FEEL LIKE I AM MISSING SO MUCH.
I'm glad you guys had fun.. They are going to remember it. I have to agree with your whole post too, cause if you were to ask your kids what they wanted they'd say my parents to play with us and do stuff!! So good job to you. Your doing a great job and your kids are amazing kids
